• Note about Canon Preferences: I generally think of MDZS (the novels) and The Untamed as being like completely different media - I would prefer, if possible, that any MDZS (novel) prompts have very little mention of the storyline/timeline changes that the Untamed made.
• Lan Wangji/Wei Wuxian:
  • I will love pretty much anything featuring these two. My likes for them are pretty eclectic - I will love just about anything with this pairing.
  • Some WangXian-specific fic tropes I like: Dragon!LWJ & Huli Jing or Fox!WWX AUs, Post-Canon Married!WangXian solving cases (esp. if one of them accidentally gets cursed in the process lmao), WangXian mentoring the Juniors, WangXian living in the Cloud Recesses, post-canon official GusuLan Teacher!WWX, that one fanon trope where LQR & WWX are academic rivals.
  • I love canon divergence takes & I adore seeing how slight alterations in the timeline might affect the development of their relationship.
  • I also adore pretty much any kind of time travel shenanigans involving them. Post-canon!WangXian accidentally going back in time and meeting Cloud Recesses!WangXian is always amazing, I could read 10 thousand fics with that premise. I also think post-canon!WangXian meeting “post-sunshot but pre-WWX saving the Wens!WangXian” would be GREAT.
• Jin Guangyao/Lan Xichen:
  • AU where post-canon LXC somehow manages to go back in time and to stop JGY before all the murdering happens. Maybe it’s even after a few of JGY’s first murders but LXC is like wildly good at compartmentalizing JGY’s more questionable actions so he stops him/cares for him anyway. Whether this overall stops JGY from continuing on with his grand scheme is up to you - I can see it going either way tbh.
  • AU where LXC marries JGY to save his life - AU where LXC proposes marriage after JGY’s confession/defeat in Guanyin Temple to protect JGY. How this ends up working out? Up to interpretation.
• Wei Wuxian & Lan Qiren:
  • I am personally fond of both canon LQR & fanon LQR characterizations, but I do lean more into liking the headcanon that LQR eventually warms up to WWX after a while (in whatever context they happen to find themselves in, be it post-canon or canon divergence, etc.)
  • I also love that one trope where LQR & WWX are academic rivals and/or they bond over academically-based shared interests either in canonverse or in a modern/modern with cultivation au.

  • Canon!Verse, I love Sticky White Lotus BunHe being jealous of other people being around SQQ - I could read 10 thousand fics with that exact premise.
• Shen Yuan/Shen Jiu:
  • I tend to prefer these two in canon or canon adjacent settings.
  • I love AUs where SY & SJ both exist in the canon SVSSS world - how this is achieved, totally up to you. Are they brothers/twins? Are they lovers? Are they brothers AND lovers? Is SY a Qing Jing Peak disciple? Is SY a rival Peak Lord? Are they just two guys who look scarily alike? Either way I like them both there & interacting in some way. Just to be clear: I am cool with them being brothers and also in a relationship; I am also cool with them being unrelated and in a relationship. Whatever portrayal you want to go with for these two is cool with me.
• Original Luo Binghe/Shen Yuan:
  • Big fan of these tropes for this pairing: time travel or dimension travel AUs, modern AUs with Dark!Bingge, modern AUs with CEO or Son of CEO!Bingge, Manipulative!Bingge, omegaverse AUs, etc.
  • I tend to prefer these two in Modern AUs or AUs that take place after the Bingge vs. Bingmei extra.
  • For Modern AUs, I really love the Dark!Bingge & Oblivious!Shen Yuan trope, especially if (after SY inevitably finds out about whatever LBG is doing) SY is either just ok with it or really into it.

• I would honestly just love anything centered around Cheong Myeong & his relationships with any of the characters in the webcomic (note: I have not yet read the webnovel so any references to that canon will likely be lost on me unfortunately).
• Anything related to Cheong Myeong + having his original identity revealed to the other main characters, whether that be via specific-curse-induced shenanigans, accidental time travel, temporarily being cursed with mind reading, truth serum, a curse that makes him regain his original body, etc.
• I do think an AU where Baek Cheon, Jo Gul, Yoon Jong, Yoo Iseol, and/or Lee Songbaek accidentally time travel to Pre-War Mount Hua and meet original!Cheong Myeong would be super cool!
• Alternatively, anything focused around Cheong Myeong & his relationship with Cheong Mun would be cool - either pre-war, during the war, or maybe an AU where Cheong Mun also gets reincarnated and joins Current!Mount Hua as a disciple.
